          A former partner at one of Texas’ largest law firms, Pittman has

extensive courtroom experience in significant commercial litigation disputes

involving breaches of contract, technology, intellectual property, telecom,

and many other issues.  He has served as trial and appeals counsel in 

landmark court decisions in Texas, the Fifth Circuit and the Federal Circuit

Court of Appeals.  He has represented dozens of Fortune 500 companies as

well as start-up companies, mid-size companies, and individuals.

 

          Pittman was recognized for his contributions to the profession when

he was named by TYLA as the Outstanding Young Lawyer of Texas.  The

Dallas Young Lawyers Association also named him the Outstanding

Young Lawyer of the Year.

 

          Pittman serves on the Advisory Committee for the United States District Court  for the Northern District of Texas

and has served on the Magistrate Reappointment Committee for the USDC for the Northern District of Texas. He is a 

former member of the Dallas Bar Association Board of Directors.  Pittman is a member of the Board of Directors for the

Dallas Symphony Association, the JLTLA Foundation, and the John C. Ford Foundation. He is also a member of the

Dallas Inn of Court and the International Order of Barristers.

 

          He is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law.   He holds a Master of Business Administration from

Southern Methodist University and is also a Certified Public Accountant.  His business background helps him understand

the business drivers that impact litigation and trial strategies.

 

          Pittman is a frequent lecturer on commercial litigation and intellectual property issues and for over ten years has

instructed law students at the University of Texas School of Law or Southern Methodist University Dedman School of

Law on the art of trial and appellate advocacy.
